Sneak Peek: Liberace - Music and Memories - Compimentary Show!

The look, the voice, the music… the memories. It’s all in this new entertainment spectacular! “Liberace - Music & Memories“… starring Wayland Pickard. Critics say Pickard brings to life the wonderful connection Liberace had with his audiences. Join us for a one-of-a-kind show featuring well-known classical music… Broadway hits and pop standards. Pickard not only tinkles the ivories as well as Liberace, he looks like Liberace. A four hour make-up process, designed by an Academy Award winning make-up artist, transforms Pickard into “Mr. Showmanship” himself, with all of the sparkle and flare that defined a legend.

The Lounge at Saxe Theater hosts Grindr Million Man Celebration

The Lounge at Planet Hollywood’s Saxe Theater is proud to kick-start “National Coming Out Month” with several big events beginning with the Grindr “Million Man Celebration,” the world’s largest all-male mobile social network.

The party will was held Friday, October 1st at 11pm . Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails provided by Monte Cristo Rum and Skyy Vodka at the nightclub’s two world-class refreshment bars. To help us celebrate, the cast of the hottest new show on the Strip, VEGAS! The Show, made a special appearance. Other celebrities include performers from The Lion King and Viva Elvis.

On Tuesday, October 5th from 7pm to 9pm ,The Lounge is threw a SinCityQSocial mixer. SinCityQSocial is the largest LGBT professional group in Las Vegas. Everyone was welcome to drop in for the best drink specials in town as well as door prices, including tickets to V Theater’s V The Ultimate Variety Show, BeatleShow!, and Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis.

The Lounge, Saxe Theater and V Theater then joined forces by taking the show on the road to Q Magazine’s “NCOD” outdoor event Saturday, October 9th near Paradise Rd. & Naples.

Auditions Continue!

Auditions continue in the search for talent for the Saxe Theater's production: VEGAS! THE SHOW. There are few details about the show other than that it will showcase the best talent in a tribute to the history of Las Vegas. The show will feature singers and dancers with an amazing soundtrack rich with sounds of old Las Vegas. Tiger Martina, famed Broadway choreographer, is working with producer David Saxe to create the first Las Vegas produced show on the strip in over a decade. The first round of auditions were held at Backstage Studio II in Las Vegas, where Tiger and David started their search for singers and dancers. They continued auditions at the David Saxe Productions Studio and started putting together the pieces of the show. Working long hours picking music and putting together the staging, they took their auditions to Hollywood today with Tiger auditioning more singers and dancers at the Debbie Reynolds Studio in North Hollywood. From noon to 4pm today, Tiger hopes to find the last of his singers and dancers and bring them to Vegas to start rehersals for the show, set to open in mid-June.
